Rule of law

Politicians are being held accountable for their actions under the rule of law

KARACHI: Pakistanis have received the Islamabad High Court’s recent verdict on foreign minister Khawaja Asif’s disqualification with mixed emotions. It is both disappointing and satisfying at the same time that legal actions are being taken against members of the ruling party for their misconduct and wrongdoing. And where politicians are being held accountable for their actions under the rule of law they have at the same time tainted Pakistan’s image in the international community.
