Parents allege police, local feudal lords kidnapped 16-year-old Ameesha Khaskheli
HYDERABAD:
An underage girl, whose alleged marriage ceremony was foiled by the Umerkot police, has been missing since April 18. Her parents alleged that the police and local feudal lords have kidnapped their 16-year-old daughter, Ameesha Khaskheli. The police, however, claimed that the girl was handed back to the parents after they submitted an affidavit.
On Wednesday, Ameesha's mother Ameera filed a petition in the district and sessions court. She alleged that in connivance with the women police station's in charge, Khusbakht, local feudals Faiz Muhammad Pali and Saifullah Pali kidnapped her daughter.
She maintained that the police took her daughter in custody and took her to the women's police station. She urged the court to order the registration of an FIR against the three persons. The court summoned the police officer and both accused persons tomorrow (Friday).
