The campaign entitled Khoon Badlay Zindagi was organised by the department of media studies, advertising and public relations in collaboration with Indus Hospital at the institution's Karachi campus on Wednesday.
Symposium held to raise awareness about inherited blood disorders
"Saving one life is equal to saving the whole humanity, I feel proud to see youngsters actively participating in the community service campaign,” said Director Bahria University Karachi campus Commodore Arshad Mehmood Khan.

Those who opted to donate blood were required to go through a screening process as per the criteria set by the Indus Hospital.

According to Dr Mehar Ali of Indus Hospital, their staff managed to collect more than 125 blood units in just four hours of the donation. “We have been using latest technology to share information about blood donors, so a specific blood group can be arranged within no time in case of an emergency.”
Head of the media studies department Dr Har Bakhsh Makhijani and course supervisor Ibtesam Mazahir felicitated the efforts, saying these will assist the students in their forthcoming professional endeavours.
