We may not hear of Paris Hilton as frequently now as we used to. But the American hotel heiress still has lots to say, particularly about her reputation as a “ditzy blonde” and sexual harassment in Hollywood.

Paris recently attended an event in New York, wherein she came clean about how producers of The Simple Life – the reality show that propelled her to stardom – specifically asked her to act dumb to garner ratings. “Were you ever a ditzy blonde, Paris Hilton?” asked the event’s moderator. To this, the beauty and fashion mogul replied, “I wouldn’t get this far in life being a dumb blonde,” reported The Indian Express.

“They told me to play that character; kind of play that ditzy blonde but it was never really me,” Paris added, of the series that ran for four years, beginning in 2003. “I was just being entertaining. That’s just how the world got introduced to me. But yeah, I’m the exact opposite.”

The socialite went on to say that she “literally regrets” saying women who accused then-Presidential candidate Donald Trump of sexual misconduct were merely after fame and attention. “I applaud every woman for coming out because of the things that are happening right now,” Paris said. “It is so important, with this #MeToo movement and all of the women coming forward and ending this. It’s just been happening for so long.”

These days, Paris is riding high on her recent engagement to actor Chris Zylka, who played Flash Thompson in the 2012 film The Amazing Spider-Man. The couple began dating two years ago and got engaged when Chris popped the question on their Christmas ski vacation in Colorado.

“We are on a mountain skiing and he literally just surprised me with this ring and it was one of the most romantic moments of my life,” she shared. The wedding will be this year, followed — hopefully — by the arrival of “a little Paris” next year. “Or maybe her name will be London,” teased Paris.
