LAHORE: Punjab University Department of Special Education organised the first international conference on research in special education at Environmental Law Auditorium on Tuesday.

The theme of the conference was ‘Addressing diversity through education.’

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Department of Special Education Chairperson Dr Humaira Bano said that the purpose behind this great and excruciatingly long struggle was the encouragement and development of special education culture. "The conference was a good platform to lay the foundation of an endless road where students will have the opportunity to rediscover, explore and transform new ideas in the field of special education," she added.

Researchers from various parts of the world, including Dr Aftab A. Khan from the United States of America, Dr Barbarra Fogarty from New Zealand and Dr G. Hussain Rasool from the United Kingdom also attended the moot.
