Promoting solidarity: Co-curricular competitions begin at PU  

More than 1,500 students from Punjab, Sindh, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan will participate in the event

LAHORE: In a bid to promote national solidarity, the five-day All Pakistan Co-Curricular Competitions 2018 will begin on April 23 (today) at Punjab University.  More than 1,500 students from Punjab, Sindh, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan will participate in the event. The event is a joint venture of the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC), Punjab University, The Educationist, NAB and Lahore College for Women University. Higher Education Commission Chairperson Dr Nizamuddin will be the chief guest at the opening ceremony which will be held at Faisal Auditorium. At least 920 participants from Punjab, 15 from Sindh, 11 from K-P, 18 from Balochistan and five from Kashmir will take part in different competitions. Furthermore, groups of students from schools across the country will attend the event.
