SC takes suo motu notice on appointment of Lahore College for Women University’s VC

CJP summons VC Uzma Qureshi and Punjab Higher Education Minister Syed Raza Ali Gillani

ISLAMABAD: Newly-appointed vice-chancellor (VC) of the Lahore College for Women University and the Punjab Higher Education Minister were summoned to appear before the Supreme Court’s Lahore registry on Sunday.



Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar took notice of the appointment of Uzma Qureshi as the VC.

The top judge, who is hearing various cases at the Supreme Court’s registry in Lahore since Saturday, has summoned Qureshi and Syed Raza Ali Gillani, the higher education minister.
