MUMBAI: India’s cabinet on Saturday approved the death penalty for those convicted of raping girls below the age of 12 years amid outrage in the country after a string of horrific cases of sexual violence.

w ahmad | 6 years ago | Reply I want to appreciate this move by Indian Govt, Perhaps death penalty should be for every rapist without any condition of child rapist. Moreover, we should learn from it, child rape is also on surge in Pakistan too. As per Islamic Law, the punishment for rapist/adulterer is "stone to death" in full public gathering for those individual who are already married and 100 lashes for those who are unmarried. This is the "Divine Law" in Islam, but being a Islamic Welfare State, we are still unable to apply these laws.
