The population of the city has grown rapidly, and so have its problems multiplied
KARACHI: If you are a resident of Karachi, you must have encountered the worst traffic jam that occurs every morning and evening time at main junctions of the city. One needs great patience to travel during these peak traffic hours, as there is a traffic jam all over the city.
Karachi is the 7th largest city in the world. In the past, it was called the City of Lights as it was lit with splendid and sparkling street lights and the light posts lit every corner of the metropolis. But today’s Karachi is the opposite of what we heard about it from our elders. The Karachi we know of today is beset by multiple problems. And traffic is one those problems. The authorities concerned should pay attention to this major issue.
The population of the city has grown rapidly, and so have its problems multiplied. Besides traffic jams, noise pollution is also increasing by the day. The number of road accidents is also growing apart from pedestrians facing a lot of inconvenience while crossing a road.
The government should act to solve all these problems. The people should also cooperate with the traffic police and the government to bring about improvement in the situation. The cooperation of the common people is vitally important in this regard.
