Snowfall hits mountainous regions of Chitral
Roads leading to the valley are open for traffic
CHITRAL, KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA:
Following continuous rain in district Chitral, reports of snowfall in the upper mountainous areas of the district surfaced on Friday.
Gobor, Laspur, Beshgram along with other areas experienced two to six inches of snowfall due to which the temperature fell.
However, the roads leading to the valley are open for traffic.
As per the Met office, the average temperature recorded in the month of April was 15.5 C whereas the total rainfall recorded in the the last 24 hours is 20mm.
Rainfall, cold weather reported in parts of Pakistan
Earlier this year in February, rain in different parts of Pakistan has caused temperatures in many areas to drop according to Express News.
Heavy showers continued to fall in Punjab, including Lahore, Sargodha and other areas, causing the weather to grow cold once again.
Thunderstorms in Khanpur even sparked power outages across the district.
But rain across the province is being celebrated by farmers.
