According to police, perpetrators accused in connection of raping and killing Asifa are all Hindu men who kidnapped her on January 10 when she had gone to fetch the horses grazing on the meadow.
The protest demonstration organised by Pasban-e-Huriyat Jammu and Kashmir started from Burhan Wani Chok and concluded at Garhi Pan Chok where it turned into a public rally.
Addressing the rally leaders of different political parties and representatives of social and human rights organisations strongly condemned the murder of Asifa in Kathua, and Neelofar and Asia, in Shopian, and demanded that culprits of heinous crime should be brought to justice.
They said that India has lost its war in occupied Kashmir and its army cannot win this war by implying mean and cowardice and inhuman acts.
They alleged that Indian forces deployed in held Kashmir are using rape and other crimes as a weapon of war to crush Kashmiri people's struggle for their right.
