Rafique and others have been accused of violating the defined rules by making lavish expenditures on purchase of high power locomotives for trains, track maintenance machines and leasing out precious railways land in Lahore at throwaway prices.
A complaint has also been received against Durrani and Sindh Assembly Secretary Ghulam Muhammad Umer Farooq for their alleged involvement in illegal appoints and corruption in the construction of Sindh Assembly’s new building.
NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal on Thursday directed officers concerned to conduct these complaints verifications. NAB also filed a reference against Land Utilisation former secretary and Sindh’s Revenue Board Member Shahzar Shamon in a case of alleged illegal allotment of 530 acres land.
The legal proceedings of reference are under process as per law in accountability court of Karachi.

The chairman also sought report on the latest progress on one investigation and four inquiries being conducted against Shamon. NAB has decided to bring back Shamon to country by writing a letter to Interpol.
NAB also filed a reference in the accountability court of Karachi against Sindh Building Control Authority former director general Manzoor Qadir. Legal proceedings are continuing in the reference.
NAB chairman sought report of the latest progress on the two inquiries and two investigations conducted against Qadir. A letter will also be written to Interpol to bring back Qadir from abroad.
