Madhuri Dixit replaces Sridevi in KJo's upcoming film 'Kalank'

The veteran actor will feature in the film opposite Sanjay Dutt

Bollywood film-maker Karan Johar has finally revealed the title and cast of his much-anticipated film that was to star the late Sridevi, reported NDTV.

Titled Kalank, the Dharma Productions' film will feature Madhuri Dixit opposite Sanjay Dutt and alongside Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha.

Karan shared on Twitter that Kalank will be an epic drama which will release in April next year. "Proud and excited to announce our epic drama Kalank. Releasing April 19, 2019. Directed by Abhishek Varman. Starring Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt."

Following multiple rumours which surfaced earlier on the internet, Karan took to Twitter to clarify certain things regarding the film, "Some clarifications! Yes. We are honoured and humbled to have Madhuri Dixit on board for Abhivarman's next! No the film is not titled Shidtay! Yes the film will commence shoot in mid-April! The film's final cast and credits will be announced soon!"
