No action taken

Action must be taken on several other charges against the latter, most importantly disrupting law and order

ISLAMABAD: If a news report that speaks of delays in the proceedings of the court cases against the Faizabad demonstrators is to be believed, it can be assumed that the government has possibly succumbed to one among the many demands of the TLP. However, as of now, completion of the procedural formalities has been put forward as a reason for the delay before a fresh inquiry is announced.

But if the aforesaid is not acted upon, it would certainly be due to the government once again giving in to demands made by a religio-political group that almost seized the federal capital for two weeks, while strongly challenging the writ of the state.

Where the reasons for the non-action against the group might never be made public, action must be taken on several other charges against the latter, most importantly disrupting law and order in the city.
