'Pahiya' from 'Motorcycle Girl' will accelerate your drive to succeed

The latest song release from the film will give you more than just motivation

KARACHI: The latest song release from upcoming film Motorcycle Girl, starring Sohai Ali Abro and Ali Kazmi will give you the motivation to get up and do the things you've been putting off for, what seems like, forever.

The video begins with a clip of Sohai travelling to work in a van while the driver is 'lecturing' her on how she should stay at home following a heated argument between the two.

Composed by Adnan Sarwar, the song shows the hardships many women face in Pakistan when it comes to commuting and depicts Sohai's frustration in a very real manner.

It portrays the struggles of waiting at bus stops, the grapple of travelling in a rickshaw and how expensive it can all be as Sohai counts her notes - representing many females of this nation.

Due to this very frustration, she takes matters into her own hands and decides to learn how to ride a motorcycle. The visuals slowly transition into showing the mix of emotions Sohai experiences regarding this - excitement, courage, doubt and a lot more.

You see, when a woman goes out to do something of this sort, something for herself, there are many raised eyebrows, countless log kya kahenges and numerous judgemental looks - due to which a lot of females are left disheartened and discouraged.

However, that's when those females need to put in their headphones and listen to this song. Its lyrics, which were written by Adnan Sarwar and Mubashar Hassan, are motivational, inspirational and a whole lot provocative - but in a good way.

The track itself is very catchy but mellow at the same time, with a melodic beat and soft vocals by Faiza Mujahid. The pre-chorus witnesses a lot of variations within the vocals with the volume turned up a notch, making for a great conversion into the chorus.

The chorus is definitely the best part of the song, as it should be. It instills this feeling of joy which will make you want to jump up and down, and dance around.

The song takes a different turn at the bridge, with softer music and stronger, more emotional vocals. During which, they show Sohai revving up her bike as she drives past her van driver who is left stunned, while her fellow commuters express immense pride.

Unsurprisingly, she experiences many stares as she drives her bike on the roads but as the days pass, she gains her confidence and finally makes her way to northern Pakistan to fulfill her father's dream.

The song also hints at a potential romance however, that part is not much explored.
