War in Syria

Published: April 16, 2018

LAHORE: Is it the beginning of another chapter or perhaps the painful extension of the seven year-long conflict in Syria, as the US, France and Britain have launched air strikes on the country. It is both unfortunate and cynical of the leadership of these countries to try and stop the use of chemical weapons in the already ravaged country by using more weapons, a strategy that will only result in more civilian casualties.

The conduct of these countries puts an end to the concepts of sovereignty and interstate relations that are considered the pinnacles of a sound international order.
