PU Vice Chancellor Zakria Zakar presided over the meeting. Earlier, Academic Staff Association President Dr Mahboob Hussain wrote a letter addressed to the chairman and syndicate members stating that the land was purchased using the university’s resources for educational purposes.
He expressed concern, protesting that the provincial and federal governments had already snatched acres of land in the name of public interest, while the varsity received nothing in return.
After discussing the matter, the syndicate constituted a meeting consisting of elected members and non-elected members.
