"Our worst apprehensions have come true. Our warnings have been left unheard", it further reads.
"Insulting the Russian president is unacceptable and inadmissible. The US is the possessor of the biggest arsenal of chemical weapons and has no moral right to blame other countries," it goes on to say.
The weapons used to strike Syria
In the wake of the strikes USÂ Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley said that the superpower's strategy in Syria has not changed.
"However, the Syrian regime’s actions forced our hand owing to their repeated use of chemical weapons," she said. Haley added that the chemical weapons are a threat to us all.
