MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan on Saturday expanded his cabinet with the induction of eight new ministers, taking the total strength to 20.

President AJK, Sardar Masood Khan, administered oath to the newly inducted ministers at presidency in Muzaffarabad.

Those who were given the cabinet berth include Raja Abdul Qayyum Khan, Raja Muhammad Naseer, Yasin Gulshan, Raja Siddique, Javed Akhtar, Ahmed Raza Qadri, Masood Khalid, Chaudhry Ishaq and Waqar Ahmed Noor.

Haider and members of AJK legislative assembly functionaries of the government were present during the oath taking ceremony.

The decision comes two year after Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) swept the polls and formed the government in Azad Kashmir back in July 2016

With the notification to this effect issued by the Senior Additional Secretary of Services and General Administration Department of the AJK government.

Among the new entrants, five are from AJK, while three were taken from the representatives of Kashmiri refugees who settled in different parts of the country.
