Body of 10-year-old recovered from Dadu wheat sheaf

Minor went missing on Wednesday and was allegedly raped before being murdered

Police claimed on Wednesday to have found the body of a 10-year-old boy from a wheat sheaf in Dadu's Faraz Colony.

The deceased was first reported missing on Wednesday. The son of a constable, the minor was killed after being allegedly raped. The police detained three suspects in connection with the incident. However, their identities have yet to be disclosed.

The constable told the media that his son, a student of class five, had left home with three friends on Tuesday night, but did not return. He said police had found his body lying on a sheaf of wheat the next day.

His body was then taken to Dadu's Civil hospital. In the initial report, doctors said that the boy's neck had been broken and it appeared that he was raped. A source in the hospital said that whether the boy was raped or not will be established in the final medical report.

Dadu SSP Qamar Raza Jiskani said that the police will soon catch the criminals responsible for the grisly murder.

On Thursday, the B-Section police station in Dadu registered an FIR on complaint of the boy's father, nominating Idrees Gopang, Zaheer Langha, Ghazi Chandio and Hubdar Gopang. They have been charged with murder and rape under sections 302 and 377 of Code of Criminal Procedure.

According to police sources, Idrees and Chandio were arrested Wednesday night, while Langha was apprehended on Thursday. The arrest has not been officially declared.

The victim's body was handed over to the family after postmortem. He was laid to rest in a graveyard in Faraz Colony.
