
“Indian Army initiated unprovoked fire along LoC in Khuiratta Sector targeting innocent civilians. Five citizens including three women got injured,” said a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Pakistan Army responded effectively and targeted the Indian post that initiated the firing, it added.

The incident took place the same day when the Indian occupying forces martyred at least six civilians in the held Kashmir.
Hundreds of civilians marched on a village in Kulgam district, chanting anti-India slogans and throwing stones at government forces who responded with live rounds, pellets and tear gas.
The violence comes shortly after 20 Kashmiris were martyred in a single day earlier this month.

In 2018, the Indian forces have carried out more than 900 ceasefire violations along the LoC and the Working Boundary, resulting in the martyrdom of at least 21 innocent civilians, while injuring 90 others.
On Saturday, the Indian deputy high commissioner was summoned by Pakistan’s Foreign Office to condemn a recent ceasefire violation in Nikial sector, resulting in the martyrdom of a woman and injuries to three others.
