Jamaat declares protest demonstration after Professor Mujib re-arrested from jail gate

Maulana Shamsul Islam says, he protested and condemned such inhuman initiatives

Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat e Islami and former lawmaker Maulana ANM Shamsul Islam condemned the re-arrest of Jamaat e Islami’s Nayeb Ameer and Ex-MP Professor Mujibur Rahman from Rajshahi jail gate.

Maulana ANM Shamsul Islam said that Mujibur Rahman had been granted bail in false cases filed against him. The government caused sufferings and repression by re-arresting him and showed utmost disrespect towards the law. Maulana Shamsul Islam said he protested and condemned such unlawful and inhuman initiatives.

Maulana Islam called upon the government to keep away from such undemocratic and unjustified moves and release Professor Mujibur Rahman immediately and unconditionally. He called for a peaceful demonstration on Tuesday.

“On behalf of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, I am declaring nationwide peaceful demonstration on 10th April 2018, Tuesday protesting against the unjustified re-arrest of Jamaat e Islami’s Nayeb Ameer and Ex-MP Professor Mujibur Rahman from the jail gate and demand his immediate and unconditional release,” said Maulana Islam.

Maulana Shamsul Islam urged all wings and front organizations of Bangladesh Jamaat e Islami to participate in the demonstration and sought assistance of the citizens to make the program successful.
