Use of narcotics in youth

Letter April 10, 2018
The authorities concerned should look into the matter and take deterrent action

THATTA: It is a sad fact that more and more young people are smoking cigarettes these days.

Young men are frequently seen smoking outside their homes. This is an alarming trend as smoking is injurious to health and does not only damage one’s health but may also cause dangerous diseases, such as cancer.

The government of Pakistan should introduce heavy penalties and severe punishments for those who sell cigarettes to the youth. If our youth is addicted to nicotine, our nation can never progress.

The authorities concerned should look into the matter and take deterrent action.
