The eight-episode series will follow the players as they attempt to win the league for a record fourth time.

By uncovering unseen aspects of the squad combined with the compelling stories that bind them to the vibrant city, the show promises to give viewers something that they have never seen before. The untitled series will spend time with the team, both, on and off the field. It will travel with them on the road and at home, while also delving deep into the cricketing values that make Mumbai Indians the most followed team. The show is set to conclude at the IPL 2018 final.

Available exclusively on Netflix, the show will be accessible to over 117 millions viewers and 190 countries across the globe. Sources reveal that the streaming company considers India's 1.3 billion residents and 300 million smartphone users as their next opportunity for global expansion.

Netflix has been expanding it doors in India since January 2016 with local series such as the Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui-starrer Sacred Games.
