The increasing rate of divorce in Pakistan is an alarming issue
KARACHI: Pakistan is a country where marriage is considered a sacred union. Islam teaches Muslims not to opt for divorce and instead work towards rebuilding the relationship between man and wife. However, the increasing rate of divorce in Pakistan is an alarming issue.
According to a research, the rate of divorce is higher than love marriages. There could be many reasons for a person seeking divorce, such as domestic abuse, trust deficit and infidelity, forced marriages, interference of family and friends. However, it is important to understand that a divorce between two people is not only the end of a relationship for them but instead for two families. Hence, it becomes important for everyone involved to try their best to make sure the couple seeks reconciliation.
