Speaking at the launch of HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air conditioning and Refrigeration) Expo 2018, the state minister assured local and foreign investors of the government’s full support, saying every possible step would be taken to help them keep trust in Pakistan and more incentives would be offered for further investments.
“It is the ideal time for investors to come and invest in various attractive sectors in Pakistan,” he said.
Blaming the previous government, Khan said earlier the business community was shifting their businesses to other countries, but economic policies of the present government had turned the economy around and investors were coming back.
The minister emphasised that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) had created a lot of opportunities for local businessmen. “Now, it is up to them how they can take maximum advantage of this project, which will be beneficial for many industries.”
He said Pakistan had achieved self-reliance in many sectors and urged air conditioner manufacturers to promote local equipment for the growth of industry. “This industry is grooming well due to the country’s specific weather conditions,” he remarked.
He voiced hope that during various sessions of the expo, experts would find out appropriate solutions and recommendations for further promotion of the air conditioning industry.
Last year, Pakistan had recorded 5.3% economic growth after 10 years, he recalled, adding per capita income had also increased due to visible improvement in the national economy. “The government will continue to implement its economic policies to ensure sustainable development in the country.”
