Bibian Pak Daman: Special prayers for peace, prosperity

LAHORE: The Bibian Pak Daman urs concluded on Thursday with special prayers for peace and prosperity in Pakistan. There were more visitors on the last day than the first two days. Additional security personnel were deployed in the evening. Vehicles were not allowed on roads around the shrine. Langar food was distributed by the management and the devotees on all three days. A mehfil-i-sama was held after Isha prayers on the last day of the urs. The concluding prayers were led by Maulana Arif Syalvi. Hashim Razi, a pilgrim from Gujranwala, said that the bookstores around the shrine had a collection of some rare books. He, however, complained the books were too expensive for him.
