Helping Hands: Khaldunia donates Rs0.2m to Al-Shifa

Khaldunia High School donated Rs200,000 to Al-Shifa Eye Trust Hospital, Rawalpindi as part of its ongoing programme of raising awareness and development of a socially responsible citizenry. Last month, Khaldunia in collaboration with Express Media Group held the Rainbow festival - a carnival to raise funds for charity - and decided to donate the proceeds to the eye hospital, which treats more than 70 per cent of their patients for free. Representatives from the hospital set up an ocular testing camp at the school and tested each student and staff member, recommending appropriate treatment where necessary. News Desk
