My role in 'Sanju' is not what everyone thinks it is: Sonam Kapoor

The actor will be seen opposite Ranbir Kapoor

Speculations have been in full swing since it was announced that Sonam Kapoor will be making a cameo in Sanjay Dutt's biopic Sanju.

It is rumoured that Sonam will be essaying the role of one of Sanjay's love interests in the film. This led people to believe that the actor would either be playing Madhuri Dixit or Tina Munim who were reported to have dated the Vastav actor back in the 80s and 90s, respectively.

However, DNA India reported that Sonam cleared all such rumours. The 32-year-old actor stated, "I have a small but important part in the movie. It’s not what everyone is thinking. I am not playing an actress. I am not allowed to say anything about it."

Sanju is directed by Rajkumar Hirani where Ranbir Kapoor will be essaying Sanjay's role. After making their debut together in Saawariya, Ranbir and Sonam will reunite on the screen after 11 years.
