Six killed in NATO air strike on Qaddafi's compound

Six people were killed and 10 wounded as NATO air craft pound Libyan leader's compound.

TRIPOLI: Six people were killed and 10 wounded in NATO air strikes on Libyan leader Moamer Qaddafi's residential compound in Tripoli.

Officials said that all the casualties were civilians. "There were three dead here and three dead in another place" in addition to 10 wounded, said the official, gesturing to scattered sandbags next to a crater in the ground in a street of the Bab al-Azaziyah compound.

Meanwhile, British Prime Minister David Cameron invited the Libyan rebel council to open an office in London.

Cameron made the offer after maiden talks with Mustafa Abdul Jalil, who is head of Libya's Transitional National Council.

Jalil is seeking more aid for the rebels' fight against Libyan leader Moamer Qaddafi.

The rebel leader will also meet British Foreign Secretary William Hague and Finance Minister George Osborne.
