The notification, a copy of which is available with The Express Tribune, is a red alert against internal influence in the enquiry of suspected corruption cases in different regions.

“…all the officers of NAB are required to work within their domain/mandate in order to ensure merit/rule of law for efficient and logical conclusion of the cases without fear and favour,” the letter read.

In addition to the notification, the chairperson also opened a series of investigations against certain government officials and staff, suspected of embezzlement, nepotism and overstepping authority.
