Police arrest woman accused of robbery

The suspect was arrested after she accidentally shot herself during a robbery

HYDERABABD: A woman allegedly involved in street crime and robberies was arrested from Hyderabad after she shot herself during a robbery on Tuesday.

Haseena Jamali was apprehended along with an associate from Latifabad.

According to initial investigation, the accused, with her associates, tried to loot a trader in the Latifabad Unit 10 near Afzal ground but accidentally shot herself.



The trader escaped from the spot in the chaos and reported the matter to B-Section Police Station. DSP Abdul Khaliq Jathyal said the suspects managed to escape but were later traced and arrested from Latifabad unit 8.

The police recovered three pistols from the suspects.

According to the police, the woman operated with a group of five to six outlaws and that they were allegedly involved in several crimes.
