KARACHI: Two Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) MPAs on Wednesday joined the Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP).

MPAs Naheed Begum and Naila Muneer announced the decision  while talking to reporters at Pakistan House in Karachi. PSP chief Mustafa Kamal was also present on the occasion.

Another MPA breaks away from MQM-P, joins PSP

Naheed belongs to Sukkur while Naila Mueer hails from Karachi. Naheed is the Sindh Assembly Standing Committee on Women Development chairperson.

It is pertinent to note that there were reports of many woman MQM-P MPAs flouting party directives in the recently-concluded Senate elections to support Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidates instead.

Former MQM-Pakistan member joins PSP

Many MQM-P leaders, including national and provincial assembly members, have parted ways with MQM-P and joined Kamal's PSP since its launch. Sagheer Ahmed, Bilqees Mukhtar, Shaikh Abdullah, Irtiza Farooqui, Abdul Razzaq, Sheeraz Waheed, Nadeem Razi and Dilawar Qureshi are among those who have joined the PSP.
