Social welfare: Free-camp for stroke patients in Swat

PESHAWAR: A free medical camp for the patients of stroke and allergy has been organised in joint collaboration by a social welfare organisation MedIKS International Nowshera, District Swat Police and Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar at Wadudia Hall Jehanzeb College, Saidu Sharif, Swat.

Swat District Police Officer Hafiz Wahid Mahmood was the chief guest whereas renowned physician and chief executive of MedIKS International Prof Dr Muhammad Ishaq Khan along with his medical team comprising of doctors, paramedics and nurses were also present at the occasion.

While talking to the participants DPO Swat Hafiz Wahid Mahmood said that organising a free medical camp by MedIKS International and KMU was a great contribution towards poor and ailing humanity in this backward and far flung area of Swat.

He appreciated the spirit and cause of the organisers especially Dr Ishaq for arranging such a successful medical camp.

He shared that Swat police and the general public of Swat rendered unforgettable sacrifices for the restoration of peace and normalcy in the region and hoped that MedIKS International and KMU in joint collaboration will keep continue their efforts for better health delivery services through such medical camps.

Talking to the patients Dr Ishaq said that the main motive behind arranging this medical camp was to provide first hand checkup and free medical treatment to the poor population of Swat at their door step. He committed that such like free medical camps would also be arranged at various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in the upcoming days.

He also thanked DPO Swat Hafiz Wahid Mehmood and Swat Police for providing assistance, security and all possible support to the camp organisers. It is worth mentioning that more than 400 stroke and allergy patients were treated free of cost by the specialists and well trained medical and pre medical staff of MedIKS International Nowshera under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Muahmmad Ishaq Khan during the free medical camp.
