Order issued: Ban on aerial firing, fireworks in Mardan

The meeting also reviewed complaints of people registered against police officials

MARDAN: Mardan District Police Public Safety Commission on Tuesday strictly imposed ban on aerial firing and fireworks in the district.

The decision was taken at a meeting presided over by commission’s chairman Abdul Aziz and attended by DSP Headquarters, Ehteraz Khan, vice chairman Amjad Khan, Dr Abdul Wahab and others.

The meeting also reviewed complaints of people registered against police officials and showed resentment over non arrest of accused involved in murder at Takht Bhai archeological site.

The meeting directed police force to further enhance its action against aerial firing and fireworks in the district.

Aziz said police were public servants and they have to utilise all their energies for addressing people's problems. He said committees have been formed at police station level to frustrate the narcotics business.
