Making money: Plans to increase driving licence fee

Durrani directs officials of ICT administration to ensure disposal of police related cases immediately

ISLAMABAD: Chief Commissioner Aftab Akbar Durrani on Monday directed the officials concerned to rationalise fee structure for attaining driving license from the federal capital.

During a meeting to review the fee structure, the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) officials briefed him about various affairs. The meeting also considered enhancing learner’ driving licence fee.

Presently, learner licence fee is Rs100, a fresh driving licnence is issued against fee of Rs600 and annual renewal fee is Rs500. He directed the officials to rationalise these fees and forward him for approval.

Durrani also directed the officials of ICT administration to ensure disposal of police related cases immediately and do not keep anything pending. ICT Director Administration Syed Najaf Iqal briefed the participants about these cases and informed that nothing was pending on the part of ICT administration.
