RHC upgraded with Rs10.5m funds
Renovations cost Rs10.5 million and was entirely funded by philanthropists

The inauguration of Lalyani Rural Health Centre (RHC) after the completion of up gradation work was held in Sargodha on Monday. The renovations cost Rs10.5 million and were entirely funded by philanthropists in the area. The role people played in this project cannot be ignored, said Deputy Commissioner Liaqat Chatha during the ceremony. RHC has been providing round-the-clock treatment to around 500 patients. It features a dental unit and provides X-rays free-of-charge, he added. One donor contributed Rs7 million for the construction of the emergency ward, fully equipped with air conditioners and a filtration plant, as well as other equipment for the hospital, he informed. Kot Momin Assistant Commissioner Iffatul Nissa stated that they had demanded Rs2.5 million from the government for the hospital’s budget which would enable then to facilitate more patients.
