KARACHI: The National Selection Committee headed by Inzamamul Haq, after consultation with Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed and head coach Mickey Arthur, have announced the 15-member T20I squad for the three-match series against West Indies beginning from April 1 at the National Stadium of Karachi.

After staging a successful Pakistan Super League (PSL) final, the three-match T20I series against West Indies will be played on April 1, 2 and 3 in Karachi.

Three youngsters, who performed well in the recently concluded PSL, Islamabad United’s Asif Ali and Hussain Talat, and Lahore Qalandars’ young pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi, were named in the squad.

Left-arm pacer Rahat Ali also gets a chance in the squad after bowling well in the league.

All-rounder Imad Wasim and left-arm pacer Rumman Raees have yet to recover from the injury which they incurred during the PSL, and therefore both were not considered for selection.

“Usman Khan Shinwari makes a comeback in the team after recovering from his back injury,” said Inzamam.

The squad, led by Sarfraz, includes Ahmed Shehzad, Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik, Asif Ali, Hussain Talat, Faheem Ashraf, Muhammad Nawaz, Shadab Khan, Muhammad Amir, Hasan Ali, Rahat Ali, Usman Khan Shinwari and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
