Sunday saw Karachi host a major cricketing event after nearly a decade at the National Stadium where Islamabad United were crowned the champions of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in the third edition.

With their second PSL title in three years, Islamabad United not only lifted the silverware but also gathered praise from the cricketing fraternity for their performance.

However, all the praise for Islamabad was accompanied by delight over Karachi hosting the landmark final.
