Goodwill: India releases eight Pakistani prisoners

Interior ministry officials handed over the men to the Edhi Foundation.

LAHORE: Eight Pakistanis released from Indian prisons reached Lahore through Wagha border on Wednesday.

Interior ministry officials handed over the men to the Edhi Foundation, who were given the responsibility for transporting the men home in various cities.

Those released were identified as Nasibzada, 23, from Dir district; Zulfiqar, 28, from Kahror; Yaqoob Shah, 44, from Swabi; Mohammad Yar Jhando, 42, from Pakpatan; Abdul Hameed, 47, from Narowal; Arif, 35, from Shakargarh; Mohammad Usman, 70, from Karachi; and Mohammad Saghir, 41, from Lahore.

They will remain at the Edhi Homes in Gulberg until they are taken to their homes.
