These traffic officials would assist the Traffic Response Unit to maintain the smooth flow of vehicular movement.

During the training, they were delivered lectures by senior police officers, legal experts and psychologists. Ahmad claimed that they would play an important role in maintaining the flow of traffic.

Two weeks earlier, CTPL had introduced new traffic response unit (TRU) to facilitate commuters on seven leading roads of the provincial capital. The unit consisted of 300 wardens and 14 inspectors.
