Gujranwala DC found dead

Deputy Commissioner was found in his residence in Gujranwala where he lived alone

GUJRANWALA: Deputy Commissioner of Gujranwala Sohail Tipu was found dead in his home on Thursday. Initial reports suggest suicide as the cause of death, despite the fact that he was found hanging from the ceiling fan with his hands tied behind his back.  However, this has not yet been confirmed.

He was found in his residence in Gujranwala where he lived alone.

Officials said Tipu had been under a lot of stress for the past couple of days. Further investigations into the matter are underway.

He was appointed deputy commissioner on December 11, 2017.
