On Wednesday, Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed urged Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar to impose a 90-day-long "judicial martial law" in the run-up to forthcoming general elections.
Speaking to the media, Shah said that everything is clarified in the Constitution and no one can venture beyond that. "Whoever trespasses the Constitution can face a trial," he said. "Whoever agrees to a judicial martial law can be tried for treason".

The veteran politician added that no democratic person could support such a move.
In his statement, Rasheed had said that appointing the caretaker prime minister was actually the responsibility of the chief justice as the whole nation is looking towards to the judiciary.
