BAHAWALPUR:
A woman allegedly took control of a school owned by her husband in Jinnah Colony of Rahimyar Khan after the latter solemnised a second marriage.
Police officials said on Wednesday that complainant Wahid Ali, along with teachers and students of his private school, approached the police and lodged a complaint that his first wife and her brother had occupied his private school after he married another woman.
The police added that the complainant stated that his first wife, Rubina Kausar, and her brother Muhammad Shafeeq not only took control of his private school, but also forced teachers and students to leave the school premises.
However, the police said that Rubina Kausar alleged that her husband Wahid Ali had married another woman without her consent and this led to a matrimonial dispute.
She claimed that her husband married the woman on March 15. Meanwhile, Wahid Ali said, “Teachers and students of my school have been supporting me instead of my wife.”
