Harsh attitude of teachers key dropout factor

Practical steps needed to reverse the trend, says Ministry of Human Rights

ISLAMABAD: With the new academic year few weeks away, the Ministry of Human Rights (MOHR) has published survey reports on school enrolment in capital’s slums and rural areas.

Harsh attitude of teachers is the key factor behind the high proportion of dropped out children from school which needed practical steps to reverse the trend.

Conducting regular training sessions for teachers and community leaders' would be beneficial to get fruitful results, two reports issued by Ministry of Human Rights (MOHR) recommended.

The analysis of out of school children (OSS) conducted by the ministry came up with two separate reports, one on slums of Islamabad and the other on selected rural areas of Islamabad.
