Commissioner addresses power theft

Administration in coordination with police & MEPCO to form joint teams to punish people involved in electricity theft

MULTAN: Multan Commissioner Bilal Ahmed Butt directed district administrations to constitute special teams which will conduct raids to stop electricity theft, on Monday. Those who were involved in pilfering electricity will be dealt with sternly, he said while chairing a meeting. The district administration, in coordination with police and Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO), will form joint teams to punish the people involved in electricity theft. He also directed that people be nominated to meet the gap between electricity production and transmission.
