Teenage girl killed after cellphone explodes during usage
The cause of the explosion is not clear yet
A girl in India was killed when the smartphone she was using blew with a blast, Daily Mail reported.
Uma Oram, 18, was reportedly charging the device as well as talking to a relative on it at her home in Odisha state when the incident happened.
The youth suffered injuries to her hand, chest and leg which led her to fall unconscious before reaching the hospital. She was later confirmed dead.
Oram’s brother said she was going to talk to a family member but had figured that the cell phone’s battery was running out.
"As the battery of the mobile phone was draining out, she plugged it for charging while talking over it simultaneously," he said.

"Before we could know what exactly happened, she fell unconscious. She was declared dead at the hospital."

Police reportedly visited the site of the incident occurred to gather information as an investigation has been started and the girl's body shifted to a hospital for a post-mortem.
