Fire Fighting: High-rise buildings issued warning

District Officer Sanjida Khanum issues challans for lacking appropriate safety measures

RAWALPINDI: Civil Defence Department on Friday sent out challans and issued notices to various high-rise buildings in various areas of the city to ensure the installation of fire-fighting equipment, smoke alarms and safe exits in the buildings. The District Officer Sanjida Khanum issued challans to Chicken Maccy Restaurant, Save Mart, Mastan Khan LPG Shop, Shah Baba CNG, Quetta Restaurant, Farooq Anwar Zaiqa Murgh Pulao and Muzamil Abass Tika House for lacking appropriate safety measures, for fire- fighting equipment and due to the absence of smoke alarms.
