Vulnerable people: ‘Society needs to change its behaviour’
Tarar says government is endeavouring to protect rights of women according to Islamic teachings

The Pakistani society needs to change its behaviours towards
vulnerable segments, said Federal Minister for Human Rights Mumtaz Ahmed Tarar on Friday.
He said the government has launched an action plan to bring a positive change in the behaviour of people and counter extremism in the Pakistani society.
Laws protecting women rights need implementation: Durrani
Tarar said the government was endeavouring to protect rights of women according to Islamic teachings, social norms and international obligations.
Addressing a seminar on Women Rights in Islam organised by Human Rights Ministry in collaboration with Universal Interfaith Peace Mission to commemorate international women's day, the minister stated: “development, progress and prosperity of rural women were our top priority.”
