Funding Terror: Three arrested for Da’esh fundraising
Men apprehended are identified as Asim Hayat, Kashif and Fazal Subhan
PESHAWAR:
The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested three suspected terrorists aligned with the banned militant group Da’esh (also known as Islamic State in Iraq and Syria–Khurasan chapter). The men had been apprehended by the Banamarhi police as they collected donations for the outfit on Kohat Road on Friday. The men were identified as Asim Hayat, Kashif and Fazal Subhan. Police officers said that the men were collecting charity for the organisation and recovered Rs79,000 in cash and a letter pad from their possession. An FIR was also registered against them. Talking to The Express Tribune, a CTD official said that the three were using the name of ISIS for collecting money but they were in truth affiliated with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Maulana Matiullah Afghani group.
